Music MinistriesThe music ministry of Parma-South strives to discover, develop, and encourage excellence in the artistic talent of this congregation. Chancel Choir is open to adults and high school students. The choir leads Sunday morning worship at the 10:30am Traditional Worship Service and presents special music at all church holidays. They sing a variety of music, including classical sacred, traditional hymn arrangements, and contemporary praise and worship music. The Chancel Choir rehearses from 7:30 - 9:00pm on Thursdays in the Sanctuary. Come sing with us. First Light Singers lead the Sunday morning worship at the 9:00am Contemporary Worship Service. The emphasis at this service is contemporary praise music. There are two simple requirements for being a part of this group. The first is the desire to participate and the second is being willing. The First Light Singers meet each Sunday morning at 8:30am in the choir room to rehearse the music for that day's service. Please feel free to join this group and participate in a relaxed environment where having fun is a must! Carillon Bell Choir is an English Handbell Choir. It is open to adults and young adults who read music and are interested in "ringing" praises. The choir practices every Wednesday, September through May at 6:00pm in the Bell Room. Practices are one hour to one hour and twenty minutes long. We play an anthem for worship services one Sunday a month. We also play during Christmas Eve Services. New ringers are always welcome. Prior ringing experience is not necessary. Please contact the director to discuss your interest in the Carillon Bell Choir. |
