SAVE THE DATE! On Friday, October 1st from 5-7 pm Parma-South Presbyterian Church will continue to celebrate 175 years of activity in the community with a meal. Men's Square is having an Ox Roast, which will include a big ox-roast sandwich, cole slaw, baked beans, potato salad, dessert and drink for $6.00 or you could buy a sandwich alone for $3.00. Of course, fellowship is free. FRIDAY, OCT. 22 - TOWER CITY CHORUS Dinner Show at St. Mary's Romanian Church. There are 10 vacancies at our reserved 4 tables The cost for dinner and show is $25 per person. Doors open at 6 pm, dinner is at 7 pm and the show starts at 8 pm. Check and reservation go to Ralph Stucky. SUNDAY, DEC. 5 - The West Shore Chorale is presenting its Christmas Concert at 7:30 pm at the Magnificat Performing Arts Theatre, corner of Hilliard and Wager in Rocky River. Cost is $15 per person. Check and reservation go to Ralph Stucky. THURSDAY, DEC. 9 - We have arranged a bus trip to the Playhouse for Thursday, Dec. 9 to see "This Wonderful Life". A visually stunning stage adaptation of the popular holiday film "It's A Wonderful Life". This one-man tour de force delivers a witty and moving story that is sure to capture your heart. The bus leaves the church at 11:15, lunch is served at noon with the play beginning at 1:30 pm . Only 2 seats are left for this show. Cost is $63 covering bus, lunch, play & gratuities. Send your checks to Ralph along with your choice of lunch: (a) Oven Roasted COD, applewood smoked bacon risotto, green beans; (b) Citrus Roasted Pork Loin with orange-mustard crust, garlic mash potato, green beans & natural pan sauce; OR (c) Chef Choice Pasta. Special Notes Want E-Tidings? Did you know that our monthly Tidings newsletter is available online at our website (www.parma-south.org)? If you would be interested in opting out of receiving your paper copy, it will save a few trees, and would save the church some money. Please call Jan at the church office, or send an email to pstidings @ hotmail.com if you would be willing to read your Tidings online, or would like it emailed to you each month, instead of receiving a paper copy in the mail. Mission Corner: North Church Partner Program at 40th and Superior TUESDAY JAM: will begin September 14th. You may ask what is "Tuesday Jam?" We're glad you asked! As you may remember, our youth met on Wednesdays, for Wednesday Night Live, to enjoy some recreation time, a meal, singing and learning during the school year. If you take all of this activity and move it from Wednesday to Tuesday, you have a new name, Tuesday Jam, and just as much fun and learning as before. If you have any questions, please see Susanna Schwab or another Christian Education Committee member. GOLFERS SAVE THE DATE! There will be a Return Golf Outing sponsored by Noble Road Presbyterian Church on September 24th. Proceeds will go to the Dougby River Project. Further details will be coming soon. RALLY DAY IS COMING! September 12th our new church school year will begin. Come find out what we'll be studying this year and meet with your teachers. We look forward to seeing you then! PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN: Our Fall Gathering will be at Valley Presbyterian Church in Bainbridge on Saturday, October 16th. Registration and continental breakfast are from 8:30 am - 9 a.m. At 9 a.m. our program begins with the theme of "Living Simply" with three topics: Memories, Simplicity Strategies and Service Project. The cost is $8 in advance or $10 at the door. Registration forms with directions are available in the church office for your convenience. |
