Adult Fellowship
Whether you are looking to share a common interest or would like to meet more people in the church, Parma-South offers a variety of groups. The following is a brief description of active groups at the church. If you don't see a group that interests you, just call the church office or e-mail us at the above email address for information on how to start a small group.
Presbyterian Women takes a biblical approach in seeking to minister to the needs and issues of women today. Through small groups, retreats, fellowship dinners, workshops and various events throughout the year, women are afforded many opportunities for spiritual growth and supportive fellowship.
Circle information:
Abigail Circle meets in the church Dining Room at 10:00am on the 1st Wednesday of the month. Coffee and dessert provided.
Deborah Circle meets in the church Dining Room at 10:30am on the 2nd Monday of the month. Coffee and dessert provided.
Ruth-Naomi Circle meets in the church Parlor at 9:30am on the 2nd Tuesday of the month. Coffee and dessert provided.
Fellowship Club meets in the Fellowship Hall on the 1st Friday of each month from September through June at 6:30 p.m. The group shares a potluck meal, short meeting, and program. Please bring your favorite dish to share with at least 12 people. The group is made up of singles and married adults. A small fee of $3.00 per person is charged to offset expenses. Parma-South Dinner Group prepares and serves four to five dinners a year. Our goals are to provide fellowship and raise funds for church projects and local mission programs. Any unserved food is taken to our sister churches or St. Herman's. The Dinner Group participants are: Verna and Art Buchholz, Jean and Bob Cubbison, Linda and Mike Fanous plus many loyal and really dependable volunteers on the day of each dinner. Check your Tidings for our next dinner.
Parma-South Bridge-a-rama meets monthly from September through May. Classes are occasionally offered.
Daytime Bridge-a-rama players meet monthly either at the Church Parlor on the 3rd Tuesdays or in private homes as scheduled by the players. Call Doris Belknap at 440-845-2941, if you wish to join.
Evening Bridge is played in people's homes, at varying times to accommodate people's schedules. For more information on the Evening Bridge call Frank or Beverly Kuhn at 440-885-2058. All are welcome to join.
Men's Bowling meets every Tuesday and Thursday, Winter Schedule: 9:00 A.M.; Summer Schedule: 11:00 A.M.
We meet at Brookgate Lanes, 14950 Snow Road, Brook Park, OH 44142. Please come 15 minutes early in order to make up teams. Please be prompt. If you have any questions, please contact Dwain Best 440-234-7197 or Hal Calaway 440-243-4701. All are welcome to join.
Men's Square Group meets the 1st Saturday of each month at 9 AM. This is an informal group which meets for breakfast, study, fellowship and occasional church projects. If you would like to participate, or for more information, contact the church office at 440-885-2652 or Frank Kuhn at 440-885-2058. All men are welcome to join.
Men's Golf Group: For those interested in golf, there is a group of men from Parma-South who play at COPPER TOP (Cherokee Hills), 5740 Center Road, Valley City, Ohio, 44280, every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 7:30 a.m. throughout the golf season.
